Twitter seems to be the outlet of choice for Kanye
to have his massive tirades. He is always getting into fights with other
celebrities and then tries to deny it. Also, he will come out on Twitter and be
brutally honest. He talked about his debt on a tweet from February 13th,
“I write this to you my brothers while still 53
million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true
heart...” If you are in a huge hole financially then you shouldn’t be causing
fights with people and turning people off. That could affect sales of your
music or whatever else you are selling.
What makes me laugh is that out of nowhere Kanye
will claim that he is the “greatest artist of all time”. If that was the case,
then the music industry would be in A LOT OF TROUBLE!!!! I think what he meant
to say is that, I’m the best celebrity complainer of all time and I will do
anything to get myself in the headlines. He tried to get noticed again by
asking Mark Zuckerberg for a favor. Kanye from his twitter account tweeted a
two-part request. Part one was, “Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into
Kanye West ideas.” I can think of better ways to invest one billion dollars
then to give it to Kanye. Who says he won’t end up being in more debt. Part two
of the tweet was, “after realizing he is the greatest living artist of all
time”. First of all, why are you talking about yourself in the third person?
Second if you were the greatest artist of all time you wouldn’t be 53 million dollars in the hole.
One action I can give him credit for is being persistent (sarcasm). When Kanye is
desperate he loses his mind and doesn’t realize what he is doing. He continues
to tweet because it gets him attention. If we just ignored what he was saying,
then maybe he wouldn’t do it anymore (day-dreaming). Kanye goes on to tweet,
“World, please tweet, FaceTime, Facebook, Instagram, whatever you got to do to
get Mark to support me…” HELLO!!!! KAYNE, NO ONE WANTS TO HELP YOU!!! Take the
hint…he isn’t going to respond because he doesn’t want to risk his reputation
trying to pull you out of the hole you created. I won’t bore you with the rest
of the tweets because they are just additional
pleas for help.
In the long run Kanye is not making many friends or fans so all he has
is the Kardashian clan. He released his new album on Saturday called, “The Life
of Pablo” after it was delayed for a while and did songs from it on Saturday
Night Live. He announced it would be on his website… but like typical Kanye he
reversed that action and took it off his site. Only HE would release a new
album and then right away take it down because of music streaming issues. Of course
his thought process was let me go to streaming service Tidal because my friend
Jay-Z owns it. What he didn’t think through is that Tidal charges way too much
to have a subscription at $19.99 a month, compared to Spotify and Apple Music
at $9.99 a month. Kanye will always be himself and no one can change him, which
means he will always be in the headlines for the wrong reason and that will
always get him attention.
I give credit to CNBC reporter Arjun Kharpal for exposing a celebrity like
Kanye West because he is putting his reputation on the line. He could get a lot
of positive feedback, or he could get bashed by fans and also destroyed by
Kanye. Oh well… hopefully celebrities
can learn how to handle themselves better in the spotlight because they are
only hurting themselves.
